Carolyn’s career began with an internship in Cambridge, OH over 40 years ago. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Franklin University. She successfully passed the IRS exam in 1985 to become an Enrolled Agent, a federally-licensed tax agent who can represent clients before the IRS.
In 1990 Carolyn married Alan Peterson and joined the firm Peterson & Peterson where she worked alongside her husband, mother, and mother-in-law. For years the company held tax seminars for professionals. As Peterson & Peterson continued to grow, it branched out and founded the ACS Title Company. Later an investment business was introduced, and the firm changed its name to The Peterson Companies to reflect a broader range of services. Carolyn has now been on the investment side of the financial services industry for 19 years.
In June 2019 Carolyn became an Investment Advisor Representative with Patriot Asset Advisors. She relocated The Peterson Companies to the Patriot Asset Advisors office in Pataskala, OH. The synergy of two practices under one roof has had tremendous benefits for clients.
